My Little Pony has made a come back over the past few years, and little girls absolutely love them. Planning a birthday party focused on these ponies couldn't be much easier.

Since you'll find My Little Pony items everywhere and the color scheme is basically "rainbow", use the following as a check list for the most part.

- Cake
One of the easiest cakes to make yourself. It can be decorated in many different colors, and a real My Little Pony as a topper for the cake.

- Ice Cream
For extra fun and following with the theme, offer rainbow sherbert in addition to vanilla and chocolate.

- Plastic Forks and Spoons
You may want to stick with basic white for these items, unless you come across pastel multicolor packs of utensils.

- Plates and Napkins
These items should probably feature the ponies. Since they are so popular, they shouldn't be hard to find. Check online if need be.

- Decorations
Streamers and balloons should be in pastel multicolors. If you can't find multicolor streamers (balloons shouldn't be a problem), stick with basic "girl" colors such as pink and purple. Take into account your daughter's favorite color!

- Invitations
To have a true My Little Pony theme, invitations featuring the ponies are a must. Check online if you hare having a hard time finding them, or have your daughter make the invitations herself.

Remember to keep your child involved in their own party, since it IS for them!
